Where can I find and manage my Facebook language settings?

When you create a Facebook account, Facebook appears in the same language as the one you choose in your device's language settings. We also match how we show dates, time and numbers to your language region.
You can change your Language and Region settings to see things like buttons, notifications, most text and tooltips in a different language and format.
Note: Region settings are only available on your computer at this time.
To change your Language and Region settings:
  1. Click in the top right of Facebook.
  2. Select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
  3. Click Language and Region in the left column. From here, you can:
    • Change the language you see on Facebook. Keep in mind, when you change your language, your region settings (such as date, time and numbers) automatically update to match your region format.
      1. Click Edit next to Facebook language and select a language.
      2. Click Save Changes.
    • Change how dates, time and numbers are shown on Facebook. Keep in mind, this won't change the language.
      1. Click Edit next to Formats for dates, times and numbers and select a region.
      2. Click Save Changes.
    • Change the temperature to Fahrenheit or Celsius.
      1. Click Temperature and select a temperature.
      2. Click Save Changes.
Keep in mind:
  • Changing the language settings for your Facebook account won't change your computer, phone or tablet's settings.
  • If you change your Facebook language settings on one device, it won't change the settings on another device. For example, if you change your Facebook language settings on your computer, you'll also have to update your Facebook language settings on your phone.
